All,
I have been having nearly daily service interruptions with Comcast.
They've had a technician to my house twice (when the service was
working), and when I call in for service, they note that they cannot
see my modem. They have downplayed the downtime. Here is my
question:

Is there a way to monitor the availablity of service using a program
running on one of my computers?

Thanks,
Chris

I had a similar problem in 2005 and I used a program called
PingPlotter to graphically show periods of downtime, as in time and
duration. The next Tech that showed up seemed impressed, but who
knows.

I don't think it helped him find and repair the problem, (he did that
on his own), but it did seem to help him understand that there was
indeed a problem, which is usually the biggest hurdle.
