Don't be stupid and order "High Speed Ram" from online stores that rip you off cuz you can get the SAME MEMORY from local stores!! You just gotta know what to look for and I'll show you how.

Check out this pic:
http://www.tbreak.com/hard/othr/ramroundup/mushkinchips.jpg

Its the newest version of the Muskin High perf PC133 ram (rev3)

Now, look at the memory chip and at the bottom left of the chip, you'll see the Revision "C2". GUESS WHAT, I bought a stick of NORMAL PC133 Infineon Revision C2 ram from a local store and its running stable @ 151Mhz @ CAS222. I can go higher, but my other sticks of ram are kinda hampering it.

Heres another example: http://www.overclockin.com/reviews/RamRoundup2/RamRoundup2-3.html

As you can see, the Infineon/Siemens chips with Revision B made in Taiwan can run @ VERY high speeds. Well, I've got a stick of infineon 128MB PC100 Ram also with Revision B made in Taiwan @ 151Mhz CAS222. Coincidence? HELL NO.

So as long as you know which model and revision numbers can run @ high speeds, you can get high speed ram from local stores for CHEAP!!

Oh ya that pic is from a review @ http://www.tbreak.com/hard/othr/ramroundup/pc133ram_1.asp

True. I bought mine from the OCZ store, and it is cheaper than the local stores, but guaranteed too http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif My 140 CAS 2 aint to shabby. I am using those same infineon chips you have.

Us ppl are stuck ordering online http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/tongue.gif

here in indianatucky I have about 4 stores who all sell crap for 30$ more than what i can get it online for. oh, then there is the ever wonderful and helpful compusa. and don't forget the expansive pc wisdom housed in the computer department @ bestbuy! If I was on a coast, I would be cool to go get my own, till then, or till I open my shop, im stuck online. screwit. less someone knows of a shop to get high perf memory for cheap in Indianapolis!

The local places where I live are expensive as hell. Except when they have open box stuff lying around. The cheapest place to buy stuff is Best Buy, which is pretty pathetic if you ask me. So for the time being, I will be doing my shopping online.
