Help connection problems

Hi Folks
wondering if anyone can help me on here and is having same problems with me with Pipex broadband dialup. My Pipex will connect but downloads are really slow. Have done diagnostic and and says internet connection problem. Have followed all instructions to no avail. Only think that I can see is different in their instructions than on my screen is that when I go into connections and settings I have no address in the proxy server section. Can anyone tell me how to fix this please? Please explain in simple terms as merely a layman on the old computer. Have tried contacting Pipex but not very responsive on the hlep front

if you have problems with pipex broadband dialup, you can use another dialup tool, like phonetray dialup (http://www.softsea.com/review/PhoneTray-Dialup.html), it enables dial-up users to stay online.
