New driver can't find networkcard.

Hello, when I install the new driver for my wireless network card it
can't find the card. I sure I installed it right, first I uninstalled
the old one and then removed the card, installed the new driver and
inserted the card. I've also tried it on another computer with the same
card and I couldn't find the card

It's a SMC smcwpci-g eu, part no. 98-012084-556. My OS is windows xp
pro.

That's the one they told me to install.

Why wont it find my netwok card? The old drivers dosn't have any
problems finding it.

Hi,

I had some problem with SMC smcwpci-g eu, part no. 98-012084-556 and driver sw downloaded from SMC site.

Problem resolved when I downloaded and installed this Realtek driver

Ok. In Hardware MAnager , network cards section appears as Realtek 8185 54M Wireless LAn Adapter but it's working fine.
