Planning on getting a new modem.

I have a speedstream 5100 modem which is basically for wired connection, but planning on getting this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8206078&type=product&id=1165610667220 which is for wireless connection which I prefer over wired. Now my question is, will my download speed jump up or not??? I'm on the Express package, but my highest that I ever get is 335kbps.

I also want to know if I'm able to change the name of the W/L network if I want to.
