Somewhere on this forum someone posted the registry tweak EnableUDMA66. (having a Ronnie Reagan moment... can't find original thread). Went to the url listed, andded the registry value as listed, and tested.

But I can see little to no difference. What am I doing wrong? I saw several of you post you saw great improvement, so what am I missing?

Thanks for the reply- yes, this is the registry value I added. But my question is, why am I seeing no increase?

Also wondering what actual increases others are seeing?

Check your Bios, Most have a place in them to in able UDMA if your board supports it. If Not by a Ultra 66 Pc card and this will help out to.

I have a Promise Ultra66 this drive (dma4) is attached to.

Is this tweak for Windows 2000 and RAID controllers only?
