I have the asus CUSL2 with the original shipped bios. I really want to be able to see the accurate temp. of my cpu, but due to some flaw with the original shipped bios, all temp readings are flawed. I hear that this can be fixed by upgrading to one of the newer bios ver. but I'm not totally confident in flashing my bios. Is there any other way I can find my cpu temps, or is flashing the bios my only resort. Also if flashing the bios is my only way, has anyone used Asus's windows bios flash utility?

Thanks

I too have the CUSL2. I understand that there were some issues with the BIOS reporting the CPU temperature incorrectly in the original and ealrier BIOS revisions. What BIOS revision do you have? I have used ASUS' Windows based BIOS flashing utility many times with no problems, it should go quite smoothly. However, keep in mind that BIOS (DOS) runs the CPU at a full load while Windows does not. Are you comparing your BIOS readings with the ASUS PC Probe readings in Windows?

Flashing your bios is easy

go fer it, just don't bump or unplug or have power loss to the pc during the flash....

VERY COOL!!! I must have one of those. Certainly better than a rectal thermometer!
