I was looking at this puppy. Of course, the seller what an additional 70 dollars for the cables.

Any opinions?

Man, there are an awful lot of these cards as well as the 3ware PCI-x 8 port SATA RAID cards on EBay

My experience with them with SATA drives....make sure latest firmware, had a rough night setting up a server for a client one time...thing just kept having communications issues with the drives.

"Seat of the pants" impressions of performance on this server with SATA drives wasn't too hot, even though just for a small office of 4 users, was running SBS, won't do SATA again on a server. However with SAS drives....niiiiiice.

got my last fujitsu drive from these guys on ebay, good price and an easy buying experiance for me.

ya you can spend hours looking for stuff on ebay and not find what ya need it seems.
