View Full Version : Monitor and video card
Hello all. I am getting ready to purchase a new LCD monitor. I want a widescreen but want to make sure it will work at maximum resolution with my card. I have a Radeon 7000/VE. It says my max resolution is (32-bit color) up to 2048x1536. But I have searched and found nowhere if it will support the 1440 x 900 widescreen resolution I would need.
Yeah, it will.
But if you're going to play any games on a widescreen, that card will not cut it.
Thanks. I will not be playing many games. It will be for my linux system and mostly video playback. I know you said for games widescreen it will not cut it. But how about for all other 3d effects?

Dont expect much from that card for gaming.

Well the card works just fine for what my needs. I like it much better than the old nvidia card I had in this system. I am not too worried about games and such. I just want it to still function well with the LCD monitor at that resolution.
