I am looking to put together a system for a friend.

He would like:

- Vista 64 bit (Ultimate or just a Home Basic?)

- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or E6700 (any price drops forecasted)

He would like to run a 24" monitor so it could double as a HDTV and hook up his Wii. (Any recomendations on a good video card/cards?. Is SLI worth it for his intended use?) (He is looking ahead to DX10 games.)

What would be his best option for a new extreme system?

Thanks

Thats not extreme system.
Add 2GB RAM, get the GTX and overclock the 6600 to 3.6Ghz. I don't see it having any problems with games then.
