Hey fellas,

I was curious as to which is the best packet writing software out there. For some reason DirectCD has been giving me a whole lotta problems lately. Whenever I try and write to a CD using DirectCD my PC will spontaneously reboot. This happens everytime I use it. I've tried everything so I am not lookin for a solution to this problem. I have heard that there are some better Packet Writers out there, like PacketCD, but I just wanna get the expert opinion here at SG http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/biggrin.gif.

Thats a strange problem, Prey. I use Direct CD also with no problems.

You probably already know this, but have you installed Nero? I hear it will cause problems if Direct CD is already installed.

Don't know if this will help or not just a stabb in the dark. http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Also, if you haven't already, be sure you get the latest Adaptec patch for DirectCD. It's up to 3.01e now. I've never had any trouble with DirectCD and really like it.

Well, I don't have Nero installed but I just completely uninstalled Easy CD Creator and Direct CD and am about to reinstall with all the patches. Maybe something got corrupted somewhere. I'll late ya know how it turns out http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif.
