Why? because I thought about it and I don't believe that I'll be buying a new system for aleast a year and a half. One of the biggest issues for me is money and as long as I can get semi- decent game play out of my system, I'll be more then content with my current specs (which are:)
AMD Athlon XP2600+ (running @ 2.0ghz)
Abit NF7-S (Nforce 2 Board)
1Gb Dual Channel Samsung Branded PC3200 DDR333
XFX GeForce 7600GT 256mb 580M
40gbX2 Maxtor 7200RPM SATA drives
Pioneer 16x DVR+/-RW DL
What do you all think? Personally I think I'll be good for most of new games that are out and coming out. I choose to go with getting a 7600 GT because I couldn't justify spending more then $200 bucks on upgrading anything in my system. Everything works fine as it is now and nothing I could upgrade to would make an incredible difference in my daily computing experience. The next big thing I'll probably do is upgrade my hard drives to two faster SATA drives ( the Seagate 250gb seem pretty sweet).
