I got an after market cooler for my 7900GTX ..the heat sinks are attached via thermal tape...looks like the 3M material double sided etc...anwhoo...one fell of and i'm unable to get a hold of any locally but I can get some adhesive....

could I clean the tape and then use the epoxy to re-attach it to the little memory chip or should I just remove the tape entirely and apply adhesive?

you can use thermal adhesive, but i don't know about re-useing that tape. i used some thermal adhesive on my 9700pro ram sinks, but good luck taking them off later, i hear if you use a heat gun to soften up the adhesive, they might come off, not that you would need to, but just a heads up on that.

and i would take the time to lap the heatsink before ya glue it on there, doesn't take long to do.

think I should put some paste on there also or will the adhesive and sink be enough?

if you use thermal adhesive (like the artic silver brand stuff), it's also the conductor so no paste is needed
