My old Plexor 8X one is making more coasters then not and seems to be picky on what DVDR's it uses.

they're all pretty much cheap these days....I've got 2 liteon's w/lightscribe i'm happy with....paid 30.00 bucks apiece for them....

bought a sammy 8x dvd-DL Lightscribe for 30 off newegg, one coaster, (not sure if it was the image or not) had it for little over a year, i bunr 360 games wiht crappy media all the time with no issue

u have to mod the firmware on the drive to do that? doesn't it ban u from xbox live if u play crackdown or something?

they came out with a new fix that i forgot to apply before i went on live so yea i was banned, and yes you have to mod the firmware on the 360 to play backups. but its safe, for now

People got banned because they were playing games that were not stealth patched, there wasnt new fix (crackdown for example) , got this info directly from Garyopa.
There was no need for new fix, they can detect you if you do play unpatched game, in spite of the facts this new fix detects if your game is stealth patched, and if it's not it will not boot.

read nfo's, it's all there :)
well my point doesnt make sence anyway since it will boot only stealth patched games but all the info is always in nfo.

not really, who knew ... :(

btw hitachi got nailed pretty hard, and it doesn't matter if they're using a stealth backup because they cant utilize the stealth info.

I've had 2 new lite-ons go bad in the past year, I question their quality control.
I won't soon buy another.
