just a seemingly simple question for netscape users.
i have 4.75 at the moment (recently installed netscape 6 pr3 as well). what i am looking for is the default path to the bookmarks folder. i have browsed netscape, and for the life of me, i can't seem to find it. either its in a folder with a name that doesn't hint towards bookmarks, or i am a complete idiot, and just missed it.
any help?

It should be something like:
C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator\Program\User\Default\bookmark.htm
It could be your name or user ID in place of the "Default" directory.

Hello smaier69
Try your Netscape folder/Users/(either default or the one you login with as the user)/bookmark.htm: http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

You can also export your bookmarks as a file through the 'manage bookmarks' menu. If all else fails, you can try a find files for bookmark.htm.

What does it show if you right click on a link and select properties/general tab?

and roundeye, i my knowledge of browser-related stuff is a little iffy. when you say a link, do you mean hypertext, or a link in windows, like a link saved on the desktop?

I never used netscape, so I'm assuming you have a favorites folder in the start menu, or is that only Internet Explorer?
But what I was getting at, is in the properties of the link it should show you the locaton of the file. open up the bookmarks (I think that's what favorites are called in netscape) pick one, right click and look at it's properties.
