View Full Version : What is the best setup for...

Here is the setup that I would like to have for my internet :
1- cable internet modem from Charter comm. ( speed from 1 to 3 Mbps)
2- Router for 6 cables ( which one are the best for the job?)
3- network adapter ( which one for the best for the house with 6 bedrooms?

Please help me.

Modem - Motorola SB5120 (which I happen to have a extra one used I'm lookin to get rid of :D)

Router - Dlink DGL-4300 (I love mine) It has 4 wired ports and a wireless hookup for other multiple connections and it loves the DWL-G510 Wireless G Adaptor!

Network Adaptor - see above Dlink DWL-G510



I'd recommend just getting 5 of those adaptors for the other PC's and the one nearest to the modem must be hardlined so you can access the Admin stuff within the router.

3com and intel nics rock. Dlink 4300 is nice but theres newer routers that do pre N and stuff.
