Ummm maybe? Odds are quite strongly a yes. Is this motherboard really really really really old? Im pretty sure SVGA is backwards compatible with VGA, but I'm also pretty sure that your "vga motherboard" is probably cappable of SVGA too and the port is just listed as a VGA port.

How about telling us what motherboard and what monitor?

My MB is ASUS P4V8X-MX P4M800 478 and my monitor is IBM Model 2118-3A3.

The systom is turn on my computer the CPU fan run, MB got the green light but notthing on my Monitor. Usually, I should see the BIOS on the screen but this one is nothing.

Check your jumpers, make sure all the power plugs are plugged in, reseat RAM, and reset CMOS.

I did chk RAm, Cmos, Power sw, connect But didnot see any mishap. Don't know what to do:confused:
