Can't wait to install them. I have a full weekend off. First weekend off since September of last year. Shouldn't take me more than a few hours to install them. :cool:

Project and pics will be on hold for about 1-2 weeks.

I found a site that sells colored rivets. Going with black of course. I want a clean look without having to paint aluminum rivets.... blah!

NEGATIVE! The primary purpose of this mod is to enhance ventilation out here in HELL. Besides, they do look cool.

:pics:First, cutting rivets (82 Total) was a bitch. I had 2 hand cramps and had to stop for an hour each time. My fingers in my right hand clawed up on me and I had to prey them open....not good. Went through 2 rivet guns. Blew the springs in both. If I had more rivet work to too do, I would have purchased a pneumatic rivet gun. lol

I thought they were supposed to looks like this. Isn't the open side supposed to face outwards so that they can suck in air? Yours seem to be on backwards unless it's to deflect sand from going in.

With wheel spacers.....if you drive in a spirited manner...I advise you to have lengthened studs put in. Wheel spacers will limit the amount of stud the lug nuts can bite on..they end up only getting the last bit...can snap off on you. I have seen the results of that.

the video on the website shows he has them installed correctly. Shows the hot air being forced out thru the louvers.

Nah, I just parked down the street from the car washing place for a quick few pictures while she was still dust free.

Cutting the holes was surprising easy. Pop rivets....:cry:

oh yeah... looks good man :D and im diggin the light bar... is that a Jeep product? i would love to find one for the burbon to keep the hight down.
everything ive seen isnt low profile.

I orderd the light bar from here:

This particular model was designed for the Liberty although the company may manufacture for other types of vehicles. It took me about 2 hours to install. The majority of the time took getting the electrical relay cable routed from top to the fuse panel and then to the activation switch on the dash.

Instead of using these mucked up two piece metal anchors that came in the kit. I used self tapping screws with washers. Before tighening down each screw, I squeeze silicon sealant on the thread and thrn on top of the screw after tighening down. Leak proof. :D
