View Full Version : SB5120 modem Log errors?

What do these errors or logs mean? I'm having upload issues it seems cause of horrible latency and high pings but i'm seeing these in the logs and comcast techs can't remember their own names let alone tell me what the problem is or what they mean?

3-Critical -- No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out
5-Warning -- US: WatchDog: BD 0 stuck for 20 Sec (TxTime=1FC757C Info:000A)

oh and these warnings.. there are alot of them with different TxTime=numbers

4-Error -- SYNC: Hardware didn't detect SYNC msg for 600ms - Disable Upstream and trying to lock on DS


and anyone have any idea how to clear the logs so I can see whats new in order? They are all over the place as for dates but i can tell which ones are recent by scrolling

No idea but its pretty normal, always some errors on mine, doesnt cause a prob though.

yeah i'm having a horrible time surfing the net,gaming, voice over.. etc.. The bad thing is the raw speed from speed tests are showing up good so its hard to pin point.. just wish there was a way to trace the issue.

crappy.. everything sucks...speed tests peak high but you can watch them raise and fall during the test.. I hope it keeps this up during the tech visit tomorrow instead of last time it got better the day before so I looked like a ******* when the guy showed up.

well comcast tech couldn't do nothing but call me on the phone and say there was a line guy in the area working on stuff but other than that how is it running and this is at 2pm today.. well at that time it appeared to be running ok so that was that. Well now its the evening hours and its running like crap again.. not slow just up and down like a roller coaster. I'm getting really tired of this just wish there was someone else to go to with the same speeds for competition or I at least knew what the problem was for a peace of mind.
