Anyone know where i can get an Asrock Dual 939 Mobo? I'm wanting to upgrade my system to a 939 chip but dont' want to have to buy new ram or video card, yeah im cheap and not really looking for a supercomputer, just something abit newer than my current setup. (see below).
If i can't buy one new, anyone have one laying around collecting dust and they want to sell?
:D :D :D
Also any other option to go faster processor without having to loss my DDR400 or AGP video card? Thanks

Okay i found a asrock dual board but its intel,
what do you think of this setup?
CPU - Intel

MoBo - Asrock

And re-using my ATI x850 and 2 Gigs of DDR3200.
Its been a while since my last build ( as you can tell from this old equipment), would you think this would be a worthwhile upgrade? I haven't really been gaming much on my PC lately anyway. Just want something that can handle video editing and such a bit faster! :D
For a few bucks more I'd go dual core. It would probably help with the video editing. And folding.

The E4300 is def the better choice.
Your 2GBs of RAM those are 1 gig sticks? Asking because there are only 2 DDR slots.

the e4400 for the 10x multiplier. You will top out at ~290 FSB with the DDR on the ASRock board.

Yup my ram is 2x1gig so thats perfect for this new setup.
Also why are these e4400 chips so much better than the other ones even though they are only 2 ghz....
That is one heck of an O/C man! Would be nice to have a dual core i guess for the video stuff! I am converting tons of videos to divx right now and its taking forever on my current computer.
Thanks for the tips, gonna do some more research on the CPU and then purchase.

The Allendale cores run a quad pumped 200 FSB (effective 800MHz Front Side Bus), where the Conroes have a quad pumped 266.6 FSB (effective 1066). In order for the Allendales to match speed with the Conroes, they are given a higher multiplier. What is the advantage to the faster bus? Greater memory bandwidth. So why go with the Allendale? If you have weaker components (read a tighter budget), you can still attain substantial overclocking. A lesser board and slower RAM might might not permit the higher FSB.so you rely more on the higher multiplier.
BTW. I have read cases of Allendale cores hitting mid 3 GHz range in better systems. Not bad for a sub-140 dollar. Of course, you can still use this board in October when the quad core CPUs drop to 266 dollars.
