Zonealarm Vs. BlackIce Defender

Hey Guys,

I was interested in knowing which one is better, more secure, stable or whatever. I just wanted you guys opinions. I have both and am unsure on which one to install. Do they both do the same thing or are they two totally different programs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Zone Alarm is a *firewall*
and
Black Ice is an *itrusion Detection System*

I have BlackIce and Zone AlarmPro running on my system side by side and they both work great...
ZoneAlarm is a great firewall...and monitors inbound and outbound traffic..
whilst BlackIce is a GREAT Intrusion Detection System...and only monitors inbound trafiic...but is mutch better at detecting what is happeningon your network....

forinstance i just picked up 2 Sub Seven Port Probes and have the attackers ip...that was on blackice
and zonealarm didnt pick that up know why...cause its a firewall
2 totally different pieces of software:)

:) i believe blackice is both a firewall & intrusion detection (http://ipw.internet.com/protection/security/961002119.html/) security system.

P.S. if u look on the box of blackice it says Firewall Plus:)

It depends on the User Zone Alarm is more for a newbie while BlackIce is for advance user.
