So a 30 inch seems too small considering that all the gamers are using one that big now?

Fear not. Samsung to the rescue.

The only drawback is that your going to need help lugging this thing to a gaming convention.....

Samsung launches world's largest LCD screen.. (http://news.zdnet.co.uk/hardware/emergingtech/0,39020357,39281428,00.htm)

Sava will buy 2, if they have PIP :rotfl:

my 2405 is enough for me. Hell, most modern games still dont support a widescreen res, very annoying.

I'm not the norm when it comes to monitors though, I find one I like and keep it until it dies.

That would drive me nuts. I went with the samsung 204b (16x12)

Bet its great for widescreen movies though!

My friend bought his computer with a 19" that did something retarded like 1440 x 9 something. Wonder how thats gonna work out.

My 3007 is about perfect for my computing purposes. The 60" Sony LCos is serviceable, however a larger screen for movies would be better.

Welcome to the world of widescreen!

thx, I held out as long as I could. But sharing the monitor between 2 computers, via a KVM switch, so I don't have it hooked up thru DVI, which is supposed to be better.

A question too Yardy, will running my video card a 9800 PRO XT @1680x1050, cause it to run hot/ Or damage it? The monitors software auto configures what your card can display, etc. Seems to be doing ok so far....

Shouldnt get too hot from that, my 7800 has a temp sensor on it and I dont notice a change when running at different resolutions.
