anyone konw the mail server type and server url for AOL and Yahoo?
I am trying to setup my outlook express, and it's asking me to provide the TYPE(POP3, IMAP, HTTP) and the link. For example, for Hotmail is HTTP, http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp -----> is the server link

thank you ^_^

as for yahoo the pop is pop.mail.yahoo.com
and the outgoing is smtp.mail.yahoo.com

as for aol I think they should agree to shut
down all servers and instruct all there members to get a real isp!!

I am pretty sure that you cannot receive your AOL email through Outlook Express. I'm not absolutely sure, but as **** as AOL is with there stuff, I highly doubt that you can.

You can't download e-mail from yahoo into outlook\outlook express .You can forward mail from another isp into your yahoo account though.yahoo mail is an internet based e-mail client.

In order to be able to use Yahoo with Outlook you need to enable that option from the Yahoo website. Just logon to your Yahoo mail account on the web and then go to the Options menu. From the Options menu click on POP Access & Forwarding and from there you can enable the Pop access. Hope this helps fellas http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif.

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Account Name/Login Name: your Yahoo! Mail name (your address without the "@yahoo.com")

E-mail address: your Yahoo! Mail address (i.e., user@yahoo.com)

Password: your Yahoo! Mail password
