your still on AGP??

I'd recommend the 7800 GS instead but I guess I'm just a nVidia fan vs ATI

depends on what drivers mostly.. plus who you buy from being from BFG, XFX, ASUS, eVGA etc.. hell could even be the system they have bottlenecked by the card itself causing crashes.. or the game for that matter they might be playing at the time.. I know BF2's new patch is causing alot of issues.

mine is very stable and overclocks pretty good as well, even though i don't need to overclock it, i have just to see what it would do.

doesn't evga offer like a step up program for later upgrades ?

the only reason i went with a 7800GS was because my leadtek 6800GT died and they offered this to me for a slight amount of money for the upgrade after the first 6800GT i got back was dead as well.

I'd go with the XFX or BFG cards

but out of those 3 XFX for sure... look at your core clock speeds.. both builders tend to get the "Better" cores for their cards vs the other companies
