I'm getting a 2nd computer. I'm currently on my parents wireless network(108 Netgear), however I will be moving out and need my own network is it possible to set up a 2nd router wired to both of my computers and wirelessly connected to my dad's router(which is wired to the internet connection). Having access to the other systems on the network is not important only access to the internet connection.
Alternatively my new MoBo(DFI Lanparty Ultra-D (http://www.dfi.com.tw/Product/xx_product_spec_details_r_us.jsp?PRODUCT_ID=3471&CATEGORY_TYPE=LP&SITE=US)D) will have support for dual gigabit connections. The other system would need to have an adapter card added(MoBo MSI K7T Turbo2) and only has PCI(no PCI-e) slots. Would it be possible(and would I see a speed boost compared to a 100 network?) to take advantage of a gigabit network for faster file transfer between my systems and use a wireless connection for internet access to both systems?
