I cannot connect to a pcAnywhere host that is on the other side of a router.
What software I have to use to test if the ports I need are open?
The port forwarding does not resolve the problem!
How to open ports in the router?

I've never used pcAnywhere but here is what i would do: Make sure that you have the right ip in the port forwarding table on your router. If that still doesnt work go on the host computer and try and log in locally just to make sure its actually running properly.
Good luck.

As you see in the link MNO provided, ports 5631/5632 by default.
I also suggest you assign your PcAnywhere host computer a static LAN IP address, here's a guide to help you with that;

Now if you have a dynamic IP address from your ISP, you can make things easier by using dynamic DNS services, such as www.dyndns.org, which many routers support in their firmware. That way you can easily just enter whatever name you chose into your remote PcAnywhere client...such as pedropico.homeip.net
Also make sure you're trying to connect to the WAN IP address of your router, the public IP address it obtains from your ISP....not your internal 192 address.
