D-Link DI-804HV VPN ROUTER CONFIGURATION

Hi all,

Am a newbie in routing and will appreciate your help. I have tried to set up a vpn tunnel with two of the mentioned routers. The vpn status shows the other remote router but the STATE is IDLE. What does this mean? Am also unable to ping the the LAN ip adrresses of either router. Can someone sumarise what has to be enabled.

the FAQ section. Follow the instructions and you should be ok. Looks like something is missing, maybe the remote gateway IP is not the one.
