Accessing Hotmail,Yahoo mail and window update

I have to computers networked on a Linksy DSL router.I can surf the internet with both computers but when I try and access hotmail,Yahoo or windows update it will not let me.I can access hotmail and windows update if do not connect to the internet through the router.Is there some settings I need to change or something?

On the Linksys router, you need to go into setup/basic setup and change your MTU to manual in the drop down box and then set it to 1492 on the next line down.
