Lag Spikes

Hi, lately ive been getting lag spikes mostly during online games. It also occurs during singleplayer gaming. I have a cable modem hooker up to 2 computer via router. 512 mb of ram. This only started to happen recently it used to be fine. I have lots of spyware and anti-virus programs on my pc such as Spybot S&D, SpySweeper, HijackThis, CW shreader and Trend Micro. If you need more specs please tell me which ones. Thanks in advance :) .

I get this problem too, Not big lagg spikes, jus little ones. When i run a bandwith monitor it shows it will do a spike for a second/millisecond (i duno) and only happens evry 40 sec or so. Not sure if it same problem as yours
