DI 514 Routers - Issues with Dell Centrino

I just got a Dell Insprion 600 with a built in WIFI card. I have a hard wired desktop connects to my D link router and also have another Dell laptop with a D link WIFI card. The wired computer has no problems with connected to the internet and neither does the dell with the WIFI card. The new laptop with Centrino is up and down. Sometimes I can connect and sometimes I can't. Sometimes I can get to this site and sometimes I can't. Sometimes I can get to hotmail and sometimes I can't....I think you see the point

Any ideas??

Make sure you have the latest firmware for your router and the latest drivers for your laptop wireless. Also make sure you are using any options such as "optimize for distance" and you have the proper encryption setup.
