Constant loss of connection

My internt loses connection mostly every 15-20 minutes is usually connects again quickly but sometimes it takes about half an hour. It also disconnects when ever my cordless phone rings. There are also times that the connection can stay on for hours without one disconnect. Is this normal??

Hi hombog - new to wireless networks. But i have been searching all day for solutions to other problems. I have come across a possible solution to your problem....

Also the guy at the bottom mentions about 2.5 GHz – I’ve herd cordless phones operate on the same frequency which would explain when your phone rings - or rather they are both interfering with each other. I’d try the solutions outlined above - or simply unplug your coreless for a few hours and see if there’s a noticeable difference in performance.

We had a lot of problems with the 2.5 Ghz phone interfering with the wireless network. There may be other solutions, but the problem went away when we switched to a 5.8GHz phone
