I recently went to Vonage for our home line and I'm loving it. :D
Here's my question; Vonage sent me a Linksys RT31P2 broadband router with 2 phone ports. I already have a Nexland ISB router that works faster than this one though. What I did is put the Linksys between the router and cable modem. (Anything else results in poor sound quality on the phone.)
Than I decided to put the Nexland on a DMZ and disabled NAT, DHCP server and QOS on the linksys.
In the Nexland I assigned a static WAN IP using the linksys as the gateway and Comcasts DNS address.
To me it seems much faster but wanted to know if I did this right.
Thanks :thumb:
