Laptop Advice: Where to buy

Hey everyone!

My brother and new girlfriend are coming to town (from overseas) and will only be here for about 1 week. She wants to buy a laptop while she's here but she won't have enough time to do it online and wait for delivery. They want me to go along and ensure they get something spec'd nicely but we're going to have to do the Best Buy, Costco etc route.

Who has the best deals on quality laptops right now?

If I was going to buy a laptop from a store, I think I'd go with an emachines 6xxx series from best buy.
