I would appreciate some help from the experts with this issue I have recently been having.

Here is my system which has been rock solid for a year and a half (other than the 3 days I had SP2 installed):

- Intel P4 2.6C (overclocked to 3.12)
- ASUS P4P800
- 1GB Corsair PC3200
- ATI AIW 9700PRO
- Audigy 2

Since last night, my computer display would all of a sudden lose signal (ie monitor goes blank). The sound also gets "stuck". Rebooting the system recovers the problem. I checked my system fans, and everything seems to be OK. CPU temperature is only about 45C during gameplay.

I resetted the CPU clk to 2.6 - makes no difference.

I also doubt this is a Windows problem. For one thing, this is a relatively clean install I just put on the HD last month. And Windows issues usually end up in system hangs, and not no display.

I'm guessing this may be a motherboard or memory issue. Has anyone had any experience with this type of problem before? Thanks.

you can try running memtest86 (http://www.memtest86.com/) from a boot disc to check the memory for flaws.
what brand and size power supply do you have in there ?
can you check the power supply for low voltages, use a multimeter if you can to get an accurate reading of the 12 and 5 volt rails.

I think it's a display driver issue. I had a similar issue with the 4.10 and 4.11 CATS. The 4.12Beta cats seem to work well....
