:(
some love it for quality, while others hate it for the same reason. wierd.
didn't read through to the actual review, dumb me.
found some great links on it too.
although, I'm leaning towards the regular UltraSharp 2001FP 20.1-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor with Height Adjustable Stand
what is the pixel rate in ms ?

That wide screen dell looks nice...but you will not be dissappointed if you get the 2001fp. I have that same monitor and it is simply a beautiful display.

I really like the widescreen on my laptop, but I just don't think it'll feel the same love on my desktop.
I concerned about gaming on a widescreen. While I have enjoyed it on my laptop, how well would it work on games like bfv and dc?

you would most likely have to make custom resolutions for all your games as i doubt they would be native....i could be wrong though...ive never checked

here's a post by someone over at the First Adopter forum about the gaming
"since my new laptop is 15.4" widescreen (it has the same 16:10 aspect ratio) I tried a few games (to cover the major engines) to see if they supported 16:10 resolutions:
source: Yes
doom 3: not in the options menu but look here: http://ucguides.savagehelp.com/Doom3/FAQ_Widescreen.htm
ut2004: yes
I still need to test far cry.
So it would seem most modern game engines support widescreen just fine.

farcry will play at 1200x800 (looks great too!)
