Help me decide DSL or Cable(read for details)

I have a choice between two compaines for internet services. The first one has VDSL and is charging 80 bucks for 784k....or 65 if i buy their cable tv. And the cable compay is 40 bucks, but, it's adelphia and I've heard horrible things about them.
I don't know what to do...please respond with insight...and if it matters money isnt an issue i really want performace and no i cant afford a t1 or t3.

Try looking up the DSL provider at www.dslreports.com (http://www.dslreports.com) and see if u can find any reviews. Who's the DLS provider? From what I've heard about Adelphia, u prolly will be better off w/DSL.
