Got it for just under $1200 with overnight shipping. Replaces the wonderful Samsung 181T that has served me well for two years.

Ok. I didn't like it. Too dark.

I'm trading it for this bad boy.

I hate ViewSonics. They're always too dark for my eyes.

Samsung isn't bad. Got a 17" 174v downstairs, some kind of nice! Anyways, I think there is a dead pixel...:(

how come you didn't go for the Dell 2100FP (i think that's what it's called)

people seem to be going loopey over them... with it's super fast 16ms response time

Phillips actually makes those...they're nice! That was in my link above I think.

Unlike what most people will claim, I've never had a problem with ghosting at 25ms. Plus, the Dell has a lower contrast ratio.

funny you should say that as i used to have a 25ms screen - and i never noticed ghosting either.

my current screen is 500:1 and is bright enough to light up the room at night :D

in fact it takes a while for your eyes to adjust to such a bright screen but now i love it. so i understand that bright screens with good contrast are nice ;)

Oh yeah - Contrast!

The Samsung's got 450:1, so it's not bad. Response it only 25ms, but it does pretty good. I was using it the other night with all the lights in the room off, dang!

If you're using a VGA connection, then yeah, there is ghosting. With DVI, none. At least in my experience.

ah maybe that's it - I've only ever used dvi - seems points to do the digital to analogue to digital when you can just do digital....

Ok ok...

I am the king o' vacillation.

I stopped all my orders. Those LCDs are too big and I should save money for a full Prescott upgrade. My 181T is really all I need, even though 1600x1200 would be nice.

I just picked up a Samsung 191T+ for $650 at a local store, fired it up here at work and zero dead pixels. Rock on.

What fast FPS games do you play? Or are you just looking at how fast the forums here move?

heh, ghosting is there. i have a 25ms screen. generally noticed most in counter strike.. don't notice it much in SWG

well all that matter to me is that there ain't no ghosting on my 20ms Hyundai Imagequest Q17

(this screen was found to outperform many 16ms screens in the ghosting department :D)
