OK heres the set up

Home audio, Dedicated system for playback of MP3's, DVD,
1.9 PIV, ASUS Mobo, 320 megs ram, ATI vid card TV out, 80 Gig WD SE.
Seeing as this is a system that is dedicated to putting the tunes out to a mid - high end audio system, what is the best Sound card for music reproduction???

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

M-Audio Revolution 7.1

or other.
Need some help here, leaning to the Audigy 2 ZS because of availability but I'm not ready to jump untill I research as this is a dedicated purpose system and I want the best..........

Was running my Creative 5.1 for a test and its pretty decent, back to the onboard now untill I buy a card, sucks in comparison to the 5.1 card but thats life i guess.

TY in advance :)

I personally think M-Audio is the best, but it depends on personal preference. I think the best is going to be to read a lot of reviews, and ask audiophiles such as DH.

Does your receiver have ADAT lightpipe (optical) input into the digital surround sound decoder?

Yeah from the reviews I read ... If you aren't Gamin the M-Audio is the best ...
