View Full Version : Sudden Shut Down

I built a computer with Gigabyte board and Athlon 2400+. After 3 weeks of running fine, it is now suddenly shutting down, but not turning off. It looks like it is overheating, because all the fans are running, but the computer is unresponsive. I have it narrowed down to thinking it is a PS problem, or faulty temp sensors. The Computer has a 300 Watt PS and is running 3 drives and CD Rom. Is this too much for the PS?

Thanks!

I picked up a new 400W Dual Fan PSU and we will see what it does.

I am not sure about the temps. I am helping a buddy over the phone!

Thanks
