Just ordered it. I've always wanted to try a Mac, and now I've gone off the cliff. We'll see, we'll see...

Any OS based on BSD has to be good.:D You'll enjoy the change of pace and simplicity of it. I don't have one but I do appreciate them.

that shareware program that gave your windows pc a mac-like interface must have really impressed you. I've seen those in action, you're going to love it.

Keeping the superheterodyne PC, but I didn't want a Wintel laptop. I figured why not.

For one, I think the PowerBooks look great, but more than that, I feel like I'm becoming bored with Windows and I've always wanted to delve into Mac OS; it might take a while to figure everything out in there, but I've got lots of time, so why not?

Congrats on the purchase Burke. Can you post some pics and a brief review once you've had a chance to work with it? My wife is in the market for a laptop and she's dazzled by the G4's looks. Thanks.

I understood that when I was posting. I just hope some of the problems don't "trickle up" :D
