i decided to choose a size of 32k this time rather than 64k.... did a format.....

is this a good idea? bad idea?

From what I've heard smaller sized clusters are good for things like gaming and random read accesses.

Larger sizes are better for things like streaming video and audio..or larger file transfers. 64k seems to be the sweet spot in between.

For general use the 32k cluster works well. It all depends on what your storing on the array. The benefit of a 32 vs 64 is less wasted space when storing smaller files. On the otherhand If most of your files are larger then 32k then Running too small a cluster adds overhead to the system which lowers performance.
