I really want to build a Canterwood rig just to see what it can do.
The more I read the more I want one. Here's the catch. I just dropped like 6 bills on my new monitor preparing for the next gen video card I'am compelled to buy. That too will be like $500. Than I have this rig I just built. OMG... I think I have Burkeitus:eek:
I just have to see what one of these Intel rigs can really do. I'll price it out and let the all mighty dollar decide.
Still I'm in need of some sort of hardware 12 step program.;)

AMD = storebrand

Intel = national brand

They are both good stuff but one has a little more kick :D

I know I'll build one thats just how I'am. It seems that Intell has resolved their bottleneck issue with this quad-pumped FSB. I use both chips myself. It would be cool to add a Sparc to my collection too. Hmmm... A Sun Blade. Now that would be different.;) I wonder if I could OC that? I plan to start building my next rig in a few months. Waiting for the fall releases would be the wisest approach to this.:D

Well scratch that. I was just at Asus and my MB supports the 3200 with the new Bios. I'll build an Intel one day though. For now I'm just waiting for the 3200 to have a nice price drop so I can snag one up.

so ur already looking to get rid of the 2500? crazy!

LOL. Not just yet but soon. I have to build my Son a decent rig he can game and do homework on. He'll get an A7N8X DLX, my 2500 and Ti4600, 512 DDR400, a SATA HD and an Antec case/ PSU. It'll be well under $400 for the HW by mid-summer. All I'll need is a 3200 and a next gen video card, which will be a "little more".
Best of all I'll have another rig to fold on. ;)
