I recently read that someone purchased a 9700pro for their 266 fsb mobo. THey were complaining about the video card not being as good as they were hoping for! My quesiton is who knows of the best video card for a 266 fsb board? Im still leaning in between upgrading and getting a new mobo. IM kinda weighting my options and want to know exacly what would be the best for my board.

Thank you for the info

9500 pro, teh americas army adn new rainbow six engine is very heavy for even the 9700 , plus it seems it might have some coding flaws so thats why it was bogged down

yeah ive heard some problems with the new rs. It seems to be running pretty good on my 8500 at the moment. That isn't with all the eye candy up ...but not to low either....

Apparently the 9600 Pro oc's like mad though so depends what you want it to do. However if it's stock definitely choose the 9500 Pro.

I was originally unimpressed with the performance of my 9700Pro and Raven Shield, however ever sinve the released the latest patch, my FPS have gone way up. I'm VERY satisfied with my 9700 PRO now

Thanks for the replies. I currently own a 9700 and love. Unfortunately I don't have the funds available I did when I purchased it. Besides, I don't wan to spend that kind of money on a machine that will get only moderate use for the next two months and then be a folding machine after that. I do however want to provide my kids with a decent gaming machine for the summer. My son is really into Age of Empires. I wanted to introducing him to shooters with Battlefield. Thanks again!
