Well I gave up on that acrylic case and I saw the Sonata and went for it. God DAMN! This is the perfect case. It's the right size, color, shape, and gives you every piece u need or could desire!

While putting the mobo in I just had to stop to come here and post this, because its that good. This is the best case I've ever delt with, far superior to my 1030 even.

Standoffs and holes for almost any size mobo you could buy

Sideways hdd removeable racks

120mm exhaust hole w/ a powerful 120mm Antec fan, though it is too loud

CDrom and floppy rails to slide them into place

Front USB, Firewire, Headphones, and Mic ports

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful! black finish on the case. They call it, Piano Black

2 guards for the PSU to sit on when the case is sideways makes it very easy to mount the PSU of ur choice, and the guards fit perfectly around the 2nd fan on the Antec True Power PSUs. So nice to see a company make their product work sooo well with other products of their own

Also, God came into my home and looked at it and said, "Alan, thats a wonderful case! If people can make a thing such beauty then the world needs a reward." Because of this babies are no longer born in sin. So thank you antec!!!

maybe we both have good taste, actualy i never saw either thread but yes the 120mm fan is classified as loud in my books but its ok cuz i have a quieter enermax fan on there.

Weird. Mine runs virtually silent. I had to physically look at it to make sure it was running because it was so damn quiet.

I have not added in the 2nd 120mm fan either...have you?

i didnt see room for a 2nd one, tho i did think there was 2 when i bought it.

when u connected ur fan to the powersupply did u connect it to a "fan only" plug if so thats why its so quiet, the psu will undervolt it until it thihnks its too hot and then step it up. plug it into a regular one and see the difference.

the enermax i got for it allows me to adjust it when i want, not when the PSU wants.

Me....I connected to the fan only. I don't care to argue with the damn thing lol.

I'm using the PSU that came with the Sonata...you changed yours out didn't you?

The more I look at that case, the more likely it will be the next one I purchase. Very nice.

The plastic hinges suck....while I have not broken mine, I can understand how easily they are.

oh yeah, i remember posting about this case awhile back because i liked the sideways 3.5" drive bays. damn fine idea if you ask me.

also YardofStuff..... it says there is room for 2 120mm fans. on exhaust and one intake.... does the intake fan go under the front bezel? it doesn;t look like there is enough room for one on the inside wall of the case.

from the manual......

looks like there is supposed to be room for one.... but the mechanical drawings and images don;t make it obvious where it would fit.

looks like it gets conected by removing the plastic front, but i dont see it bringing in a lot of airflow

you put it in the back of the HDD's, near the mobo.

yep. i had to do some searching to find a pic, but for those who are interested, here it is. seems it would be able to move a bit more air into the case, but not as much as i would like. still a very very nice case. may be my next enclosure purchase.

I think its to pull the hot air off the HDD's, not really to pull in much air..

IMHO ofcourse.. its a nice case, but, i dont like that drilled in antec logo on the sides, looks stupid and noise escapes from them.

yeah, i would agree, though it would still draw a small amount of additional cool outside air across the HDDs/into the case (with the case door closed), as well as move hot air right over the top of the CPU(s) towards the exhaust fan, ideally keeping that air from accumulating in the case or at least mixing with the rest of the air inside the case.

i have had cases with those fancy drilled holes in the side before. i usually just place some clear packing tape over the holes (on the inside) to close them off. not a big fan of them either.

thinking about cutting a 120mm hole in the side of the case, but the position i want it in, i cant have it, right over the hdds the door wouldnt close.
