Anyone heard of these before?

Is that the same MHz rating as a Pentium class processor?

stay away from the crusose, they are very slow,

if you are looking for poerformance and saving power then look at intel new centrino it will cost more, but I just got a centrino laptop and it rocks.

I've setup a tablet PC laptop for a client...it had the Transmeta 1.0 GHz, 512 megs of RAM, and WinXP Tablet Edition.

The Transmeta was designed for optimal battery run life for laptops, runs on under 1 watt of juice. But I can say that it felt like an upper end PII (like a PII 400) or a Celeron running WinXP...

Not exactly a ball of fire.
