No matter what I do the text is blury. I hate this thing. Now I have to buy a new one. It is big, but big and blury is just not worth it. Every Viewsonic I've seen is the same way. Do yorself a favour and avoid these.

I have 2 in my house, 2 A90F's, both work superb. Never a problem.

I have a p220f and we just got 3 other pro series at work and they're all blury on text. Hey you wanna buy mine.;) J/K I could never sell this. It would be unethical.

I have a pf790 and have never had a problem, everything is clear as a bell, except on a fri. or sat. night.

A bad tube could be the answer. But seeing the same issue on 4 different monitors has soured me on this prodduct. I'am glad that some of you are'nt having this issue. Still, this will be my last Viewsonic purchase.

Huh....I get to see about every brand out there since we're a VAR, and Viewsonics G and P series are pretty much all I'll ever recommend and sell to my clients. I can see that complaint about an A or E series since those are their retail budget specials for outlets, but not a P or G series.

Something else has to be an issue here. I'm very **** about hardware, especially monitors since a person is in front of one all the time (one of the things on a computer you don't want to skimp on).

What hardware are they being plugged into? Straight into a vid card, or through some laptop docking station or port replicator or KVM or something else in between?

Are you loading the drivers correctly? (good) Or just letting some standard generic PnP monitor driver load?(bad)

Are you setting the refresh rate to something higher like above 85 or 95 Hz( good)...or just plugging the monitor in and walking away letting it go to just "optimal rate" (bad)

If running WinXP, are you using ClearType fonts?

It's hooked straight to the video card. The drivers on mine are from Viewsonics site set @ 1280x 1024 /70mhz (higher is too blury). I do have cleartype enabled using the top left selection at the cleartype site.

http://www.monitorsdirect.com/toolkit/

See if that site can help with your monitor troubles.

Launch the toolkit to test your monitor.

Now that looks alot better.:D I uninstalled the drivers than re-downloaded/installed them. Changed my cleartype setting than used Norms link and got Nokia monitor test. Thanks alot. The blurr was killing me here. Now I can save that money for a next-gen video card.:D

dude, I have a p225f sitting right next to me. text was pretty blurry, in game was good. but 2 months after I first got it the thing broke, it just blew out, i was on IRC and the thing went from picture, to this little verticle line going down the middle. i sent it back to them, recieved it like 2 months later, then like 1 month after i get it back, same fkn problem. my friend ordered the same monitor around the same time, and he had the same problem. he sent it back, then when they sent it back they did the worst packaging job ever, it broke in shipping. so he sent that back and now hes selling it on ebay. i'm going to send mine back once i get around to it. i'm never getting another viewsonic. i have a samsung 957MB 19" now, best monitor you can get.

sorry your having problems too, just sell it.
