I've been very happy with my Gigagyte 8INXP (http://tw.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard/Products/Products_GA-8INXP.htm) board. It has onboard serial and ata raid too.

I'm sure there is some faster boards out there (not much faster), but this boards is kicking ass for me, I highly recommend it.

if u can afford a canterwood board i would look into one, it would give u a good upgrade path.
