I got two hard drives, one dvd and one burner. If you want best performance, how should they be connected to each other???

Put your hard drives on one channel as master/slave, and do the same with the cdroms.
If you put the cdrom and hard drive on the same channel, the hard drive will default to the slower speed of the cdrom.
If my cdroms are together, does it matter which is master or slave. Would this be bad for cd to cd copying since they both on the same ide?

Some pc's have a problem with it, some don't. If you start making too many coasters then cache it to the hard drive or try to burn at a little slower speed.
what do you think:
primary:
0: hd
1: cdwriter
secondary
0: hd
1: dvd

Nope, like I said in the other post, connected like that you hard drive will run at ATA-33 speed. If you don't care about speed then connect it that way.
now is that mean the hard drive will slow down only if the dvd and the harddrive are being use at the same time? Or it will get slow down right away when it's connected together?

it'll be slow all the time.
if this is that much trouble go pick up a 2 channel ide pci card and put each on its own cable if that will solve this trouble for u, there like 30 bucks.
