I got some 12x cdrw's and was wondering if they would work on normal cdrw drive without the highspeed technology on it. I want to be able to use my 8x/4x cdrw drive with it too if possible.

So you want to use your 12x cdrw's on your 8x burner is should work. I think that is what your asking

Well the prob is that my 12x burner has highspeed logo on it and my 8x does not.
Whenever I try to burn on my 8x it says that laser can not be calibrated.
