Well I was going to upgrade to the FX next month but the reviews clearly show that a 500 mhz FX is only slightly better than a 9700pro @ 325. So I will wait for the R350. In the meantime I decided to see how far I could push my old Gforce 3. After a bit of tweaking and OC'ing (265 core, 581 memory) I hit 12178.

For Gforce 3 cards I am now #2 on the ORB. :D

Nice....try as I might, I never cracked the 10k mark with my below rig. 1900+@2100, nForce1, 512 megs, Asus GF3 64ddr overclocked to..oh I forget, pretty high. Think I cleared 9700...but never 10k. Forget what it was. Me getting senile.

I was surprised to get a score that high. The Asus A7N8X really helps get the most out of the graphics. I ran the test with a conservative 2342@212. I can run at 2464@224 1.88v(I need the to do the vmod)with chilled water so Tonight I'll try to top Oppainter's 12872.

Yeah it's a year old, fastest mobo back then tough. Entire rig is a year old, didn't expect to match Eddies scores, but I was hoping for 10k. My RAID card bugs out pushing the FSB too high....can't really get past 2200 speeds. But hey, not bad for an old 1900+ though.

Did you even try??? Click on my 3DMark link (in sig) and see what I achieved...I think it's possible for you too...I'm satisfied with it for now.

If I read the GFFX reviews right, those drivers are BETA'z, that could be one the GFFX'z downfalls for the moment. The other is the design of the cooling solution...Who in their right mind would place an INTAKE port right under or next to the EXHUAST port???? Can you say RECYCLED AIR??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the ABIT Siluoro Ti4200 OTES Edition'z original design drew air from within the case and from the bottom of the case where the air was cooler....I can see a serious "mod" going on with the Diehard NVidia fanz...I know what my planz would be "if" I decide to get one...

Im hitting 10,000 on my abit with stock graphics speeds and 133mhz fsb.

I hit 10,500 with the card overclocked from 250/444 to 290/530 which i think is kinda weird that im only getting 500 extra, ill do a few more confirmation tests...brb...
